What Is Mobile Work?
The term playbus may conjure up images of under-8's play-schemes, but in fact over half our members work with people
outside this age-range.
A playbus is also not necessarily a converted bus. Many of our members use coaches, large trailer bodies, trucks, vans
and small trailers.
Playbuses are ‘community buildings on wheels'. They offer venues, staff and services to communities where there
aren't enough community buildings to provide the necessary services.

To Mentoring through art.
Our aim is to stamp out irresponsible graffitti spraying of public property by presenting them with alternative
role models. in the form of youth workers / airbrush artist. Airrushing represents an alternative art form which excites an
encourages their imagination. This enables us to befreind and mentor young adults, between the ages of 16 -
23 by encouraging personal development through the teaching of Airbrush and spray paint techniques.

Advantages of Mobile Community Work
In rural areas, many people are isolated from services due to distance and poor public transport. People in many
urban areas may find it difficult to access services due to under-resourced community facilities.
National Playbus Association helps develop and support mobile play, youth and community services with some of the UK's
most disadvantaged and isolated communities. We offer our members advice on issues including disabled access, health and safety
and environmental issues. National Playbus Association has offered support, training and advice to mobile projects across
the UK for over thirty years.
IT / Youth / Faith Buses Growing rapidly in popularity, these buses provide
mobile leisure and meeting facilities for older children and young adults. Their type and style are infinitely variable, from
simply furnished meeting places with music to fully-equipped computer and internet cafe format.
Used by religiously-based organisations, charities, youth organisations and local authorities, these buses can be based
on a range from older, single-deck units to new, double-deck models. Again, common features include kitchen areas, toilets
and lots of storage as well as music centres, full computer wiring, heating etc.
CQ matches its specification and materials to the demands of the user group – and to the budget, whatever the level.
We will help you find a bus to suit your pocket and your individual needs and will agree a suitable layout design. Should
you wish to the users to design or even decorate the outside bus, that’s fine by us!
